RAMPF Giessharze is awarded automotive-specific ISO/TS 16949 quality management certification

RAMPF Giessharze has been awarded automotive-specific ISO/TS 16949 certification for its quality management for series and replacement parts production in the automotive industry. The manufacturer of polyurethane and epoxy resin systems underwent strict testing in line with the stipulated quality management criteria. RAMPF Giessharze, a member of the global RAMPF Group, engaged TÜV-Saarland to put the company through its paces. Over a period of two years, processes were tested to establish whether they comply with both the requirements of ISO/TS 16949 – in other words, relevant customer-specific requirements – and with existing procedural and work instructions. "Following a lot of hard work, we have finally been awarded the long-awaited ISO/TS 16949 certification," said a delighted Ralph Lutz, Head of Quality Management at RAMPF Giessharze.

TÜV-Saarland officially confirmed at the end of May 2011 that RAMPF Giessharze has met the requirements of ISO/TS 16949. Quality management certification to ISO/TS 16949:2009 was issued for all areas of the company, including development, production, sales and contract manufacturing of epoxy casting resins. TÜV-Saarland also praised the resin system manufacturer for the high level of maturity of its initial certification. It highlighted, in particular, the clear corporate vision, the targets and KPI system, secure and well-equipped IT facilities and demanding internal audits of RAMPF Giessharze.
The quality management requirements of ISO/TS are more detailed than those set out in DIN EN ISO 9001. "We now provide all-out performance," says Ralph Lutz. The use of advanced QM methods and more intensive dovetailing with sub-contractor QM systems benefits all customers.
