RAMPF Group gives the starting signal for new building

Today, the RAMPF group invited guests to a ground-breaking ceremony at the head office in Grafenberg. The company’s top management took to their shovels, watched by numerous visitors and employees. With this act, the family-run company has put its seal on building a new factory on an area covering 6,500 m². The investment volume will be around eight million euros. And: New space will be provided for approximately 20 more jobs and apprenticeship training positions.

“The site in Grafenberg is bursting at the seams. So, it is now high time we started building Factory III”, reported Rudolf Rampf, Senior Partner of the RAMPF Group. Together with his sons Michael and Matthias, the mayor of Grafenberg, Holger Dembek, architect Joachim Wezel (Metzingen) as well as the building contractors Karl-Heinz Wurster (Grafenberg) and Rolf Reusch (Riederich) he today performed the act of breaking the ground for the new building Factory III. With this extension, the company wants to secure the current healthy growth of the worldwide active RAMPF Group, which has specialized in reaction resins and mechanical engineering. The centre piece of this modern building is the generously laid out technical centre with facilities covering an area of approximately 1,000 square meters. This will allow the management to live its company philosophy of being close to the customer even more intensively. The customer will be directly involved in the development of his own product at the interface between laboratory and production. With the help of state-of-the-art technology, first prototypes and sample parts are developed at the technical centre.

At present about 150 people work at the head office in Grafenberg, and two of the six operating member companies are represented there: RAMPF Giessharze (casting resins) and RAMPF Tooling. It is expected they will profit from the new storage area available from autumn 2008 onwards. Technical centre and training rooms, laboratories as well as offices should be ready for occupancy in June 2009. But that is not all: There will be space for approximately 20 further jobs and apprenticeship training positions. Above all, the new generation will be at the centre of focus. “The new building will now enable us to train more easily in the commercial and laboratory-technical departments“, stressed Michael Rampf, Managing Partner of the RAMPF Holding.

The new building is being built directly on the existing Factory II site in the Robert-Bosch-Strasse. The firm of architects Wezel from Metzingen is responsi-ble for planning and construction supervision. Architect Joachim Wezel is well acquainted with the style of the RAMPF Group. All new buildings at the location in Grafenberg since 1999 bear his signature, as well as the head office of RAMPF Dosiertechnik (Dosing Technology) in Zimmern o.R. and the current extension at EPUCRET Mineralgusstechnik (Mineral Casting Technology) in Wangen near Göppingen. The contractor Wurster from Grafenberg is carrying out the actual building of the project.
