Bringing people together on the Red Couch at RAMPF
As we all know, our company boasts a whole lot of innovative people with interesting hobbies and pastimes. I'm delighted that the second of our internal ‘Red Couch’ events will give us a fascinating insight into two of these passions. Timo Marx will start us off today – he's always keen to gets things rolling,” said Michael Rampf, CEO of RAMPF Holding, greeting the 61 members of staff gathered in the RAMPF canteen at the Grafenberg site.
Microbes don’t stand a chance
Bacteria are everywhere – in the air, in the water and on the ground. To make sure that microbes at least don’t spread in buildings, cleanrooms or cars, RAMPF Giessharze has developed the RAKU-PUR® 32-3276 antibacterial foam gasket, which has been certified to VDI 6022. This new, strong two-component polyurethane system reliably seals air conditioning equipment, fans, filters, lamps and other ventilation systems. RAMPF Giessharze, a manufacturer of casting resins based on polyurethane, epoxy and silicon, will be presenting its portfolio for cleanrooms at the Lounges 2012 cleanroom trade fair in Karlsruhe.
NEW to YouTube: The RAMPF Corporate Sound
NEW to RAMPF: The Power of RAMPF - Corporate Sound of the RAMPF Group.Listen in!
A comfy and stylish red couch stands in the foyer of RAMPF, specialist in the development of reactive resins made of polyurethane, epoxy and silicon and a leading manufacturer of materials for modelling and mould engineering. The red couch at RAMPF symbolises a module within the family-run company’s innovation management strategy. It is an integral part of the company’s “Innovation stars on the red couch” event series, which RAMPF organises for its employees several times a year – unusual for an SME. High-profile figures from the worlds of culture, business, sport and society who have shown courage and been successful in their chosen career are invited to take their place on the red couch. Britta Heidemann, Olympic gold medallist in épée fencing, was one such star from the sporting world. The very first innovation star to sit on the red couch was sound designer Peter Philippe Weiss, who received the red dot design award in 2009 for his outstanding design work. The sound designer’s visit kick-started the development of a musical composition that embodies the RAMPF group. The aim was to discover “the sound of RAMPF” and show that chemistry can make music. The basis for the RAMPF sound was created by the employees. You can listen to the end result on the company’s website and on YouTube.

RAMPF Group welcomes Britta Heidemann to the “red couch”
Innovation through communication
What is the key to success? How does a sportswoman become champion of Germany and Europe and an Olympic gold medallist in épée fencing in just a few short years? On 7 November 2011, the RAMPF Group, a specialist in the field of casting resins and specialized mechanical engineering, welcomed Britta Heidemann to the “Innovation stars on the red couch” discussion platform. She told staff at this family-run SME about her life as a champion fencer and shared her recipe for success.

RAMPF Giessharze is awarded automotive-specific ISO/TS 16949 quality management certification
RAMPF Giessharze has been awarded automotive-specific ISO/TS 16949 certification for its quality management for series and replacement parts production in the automotive industry. The manufacturer of polyurethane and epoxy resin systems underwent strict testing in line with the stipulated quality management criteria. RAMPF Giessharze, a member of the global RAMPF Group, engaged TÜV-Saarland to put the company through its paces. Over a period of two years, processes were tested to establish whether they comply with both the requirements of ISO/TS 16949 – in other words, relevant customer-specific requirements – and with existing procedural and work instructions. "Following a lot of hard work, we have finally been awarded the long-awaited ISO/TS 16949 certification," said a delighted Ralph Lutz, Head of Quality Management at RAMPF Giessharze.
