History RAMPF Giessharze

1980 Establishes "RAMPF Kunststoffsysteme GmbH"

Rudolf Rampf establishes "RAMPF Kunststoffsysteme GmbH" in Grafenberg between Stuttgart and Reutlingen. The factory of the "one-man band" is the old gym in Grafenberg. By hand Rudolf Rampf produces the first casting resins and develops new products at night.


1985 Construction of plant I

Construction of plant I in Grafenberg. Development of a state of the art product range. Change of the company name in "RAMPF Giessharze".


1996 New Technical Service Center

Production and lab space surfaces are extended on over 1.500 m², a high rack warehouse is integrated. The Technical Service Center for individual technical support and application service is established.


2001 Plant II is constructed

Plant II is constructed in the immediate vicinity of the headquarter, comprising a substantial extension of the production and logistics capacity.

Extensive sales and marketing activites are started.


2003 Foundation of RAMPF Group Inc.

In June RAMPF goes abroad with the foundation of RAMPF Group Inc. located in Holland, Ohio. Today the subsidiary is based in Wixom near Michigan. It represents the basis for sales and service support for the Northern American market.

Furthermore RAMPF Giessharze denotes a rapid growth thanks to numerous innovations:

  • food-genuine casting resin
  • highly tear-resistant foam gasket
  • innovative spray-coating technology

2005 Foundation RAMPF Group Japan / new base close by Shanghai

In October RAMPF Group Japan, K.K., located in Osaka is founded. On top a new base close by Shanghai, China, is established.

Another highlight is the launch of a new foam gasket able to be applied overhead.


2008 New CEO

Dr. Klaus Schamel takes over the role as Chief Executive Officer of the RAMPF Giessharze GmbH & Co. KG in Grafenberg. He is the successor of Horst Bader who as of January 2008 has taken over as Chief Financial Officer of the RAMPF Holding GmbH & Co. KG.


2009 New Innovation Center

With a ceremony at its headquarters in Grafenberg RAMPF Group opens its new Innovation Center in October. The company spent eight million Euro for the new building. With a total floor of 5520 m2 are now almost twice as much space, especially for laboratory and application available. Thus the companies RAMPF Giessharze and RAMPF Tooling, which have their headquarters also in Grafenberg are able to respond even to the individual needs of customers.
